3M 740 Series Filter Cartridges – 740B and 740K are used in applications with high contaminant reduction requirements. The high efficiency, outside-to-inside flow direction with large diameter, pleated media permits high flow rates.

3M DF filter cartridges consist of 2 layers with the first layer being “open” to remove the larger contaminants while the second layer is “tighter” to remove the smaller contaminants. The graded porosity structure provides greater contaminant holding capacity and longer life than conventional single layer media. Compared to conventional felt filter bags, 3M DF filter cartridges provide up to 4 times the service life, superior contaminant reduction efficiency, enhanced flow per filter and reduced losses associated with frequent filter change-outs.

3M High Flow filter systems gives you high flow performance in a compact design and is ideally suited for applications where convenience and ease of use are priorities. These filter systems use 3M Innovation and 3M Purification Inc.’s extensive filtration experience to enable flow rates up to 500 GPM in a single cartridge. The Compound Radial Pleat design packs significantly higher usable surface areas per unit volume than can be achieved with conventional pleated cartridge filters. 3M High Flow Filter Systems’ housings include features such as an ergonomically designed handle and a unique “twist-to-lock” seating mechanism facilitate easy operation and maintenance of the filter system. The system is particularly suitable for many OEM applications.

3M High Flow HFM Series Filter Cartridges are high flow capacity, high efficiency, outside to inside flow direction liquid filtration cartridges designed for applications with large flow or contaminant removal requirements. 3M High Flow HFM Series Cartridges are for use in filter housings that accept the standard 3M High Flow filter cartridges. The large diameter, pleated depth media cartridge design permits higher flow rates than standard 2.5” diameter filter cartridges resulting in significantly fewer required filter cartridges for a given flow. The 5 micron (nominal) rated HFM Series Cartridges utilize a 3M polypropylene microfiber media specifically designed for use in process fluid applications containing organic and/or biological contaminants. The media design helps prevent premature blinding of the filter’s outer surface promoting fuller utilization of the media resulting in an optimum combination of particle removal efficiency and contaminant holding capability.

3M High Flow HFR Filter Cartridges are high flow capacity, high efficiency, inside to outside flow direction liquid filtration cartridges designed for applications with large flow requirements. The 3M High Flow HFR Filter Cartridges fit into the standard Pall Ultipleat™ HFU filter housings or their equivalent. The large diameter, pleated depth media cartridge design permits flow rates of up to 500 gpm in a single 60” length cartridge. This results in significantly fewer required filter cartridges for a given flow than standard 2.5” diameter filter cartridges. 3M polypropylene microfiber forms the basis of the filtration media utilized in the HFR Series filter cartridges. 3M’s manufacturing processes allow for tightly controlled specifications resulting in a filter media with absolute rated particle retention characteristics.

3M Betafine DP series pleated polypropylene filters are available with absolute ratings from 0.2 to 70 microns. The all polypropylene filter is used extensively on corrosive and non-corrosive process fluids where broad chemical compatibility is required. The vast surface area of the pleated filter matrix provides increased flow, high contaminant loading capacity and low initial pressure drop. 3M Zeta Plus U and UW Series Filter Cartridges for the power generation industry are offered in two formulations. The U formulation is recommended for use with oils contaminated mainly with carbon particles, and the UW formulation is specifically formulated for use with oils contaminated with both carbon particles and moisture. Zeta Plus charge-modified filter media uses electrokinetic adsorption to remove contaminants and colloid materials smaller than those filtered by mechanical sieving alone. 3M Zeta Plus U and UW Series Filter Cartridges are used for reconditioning insulating oils in power generation. Two grades of media, 05 and 10, are available: 05 grade provides efficient reduction of particle contaminants in most insulation oil applications, while the 10 grade provides efficient reduction of ultrafine particles.
