John Brooks Company (JBC), the leading experts in fluid handling technology, announced today the retirement of President Gord Bell after a highly successful tenure and more than four decades of distinguished John Brooks Company service. Also announced is the immediate appointment of Co-CEO’s Ryan Minkhorst and Cory Minkhorst, industry veterans who plan on continuing to propel this fourth-generation family business into the future.

Bell’s proven track record of success at John Brooks Company dates back 40 years to when he first joined as Accounting Manager, subsequently moving into a Controller position before pivoting into sales and leading the Industrial division through a period of significant growth. As President since 2012, Bell led the charge in vendor partnerships, acquisitions, and achieving substantial revenue growth. Bell will serve on the company’s Advisory Board following his retirement as part of a long-term succession plan to ensure a seamless transition for team members, customers, and partners.

On his decision to retire, Bell said, “It has been an absolute privilege to lead John Brooks Company and help advance the company's mission of putting customers first. Today, John Brooks Company is poised to seize the opportunities of the future while continuing to be the leader in fluid handling solutions,” adding, “I would like to thank my John Brooks Company family, customers, and industry partners for all the confidence and trust that has been placed in me and it has been my sincere honour to have worked with this amazing group of people throughout the years.”

With this changing of the guard, Ryan and Cory Minkhorst reflect fondly on Bell’s unwavering dedication, and look forward to collectively continuing the legacy, momentum, and explosive growth that John Brooks Company is experiencing.

"On behalf of the JBC team, we would like to thank Gord for his commitment and outstanding service. Under his leadership, John Brooks Company went through a period of unprecedented innovation, growth, and transformation, positioning the company for continued success in the years to come. I am extremely grateful for his many contributions and mentorship, and we will channel his vision as we drive the company towards new heights,” said Ryan Minkhorst.

Echoing those statements, Cory Minkhorst added, “Gord's strategic mind, deep understanding of our customers, and commitment to the business and its people have been instrumental in where we are today. His remarkable journey as a well-respected leader will leave an indelible mark on the company and the industry as a whole.”

As the sons of previous John Brooks Company leaders Roger Minkhorst (Ryan) and Keith Minkhorst (Cory), Ryan and Cory Minkhorst are no strangers to the business. Having held leadership roles at John Brooks Company over the last decade, the two plan to effectively leverage their deep expertise to help accelerate the business and uphold its passionate focus on customers and team members and will collaborate with their strong leadership team for support during this transition.
